ABOUT THE PROGRAM
- How are the programs structured?
The program is divided into two parts. Part I consists of one week of classroom learning and individual mentorship by the program coaches and technical experts. Part II consists of six-weeks of independent customer discovery with weekly check-ins, and a final two days of classroom learning, team presentations, and the "Collaboratorium".
- Where do the programs take place?
The program is held on The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shatin campus and CUHK Business School Town Centre) and The University of Chicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus in Hong Kong. Specific locations for different sessions will be announced once you are admitted to the program.
- Will I receive a certificate at the end of the program?
All participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the program with an 100% attendance rate and a pass on the assessment.
- What are the admissions requirement?
Technologists, scientists, researchers and student entrepreneurs who are in the process of commercializing their technologies, plan to commercialize their technologies, and in the early stages of their ventures with a functioning prototype
- Will I need a visa?
It is the participant's responsibility to understand and comply with the entry requirements for travel to or study in Hong Kong. Visit the Hong Kong Immigration Department https://www.immd.gov.hk/eng/services/index.html website, or contact your local embassy or consulate, to determine the requirements based on your country of origin. If you require an invitation letter, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible after your full payment has been made. An invitation letter will only be issued after program acceptance and upon receipt of payment in full. Please note that your program payment is non-refundable should you be unable to attend the program, regardless of reason.
- Are there any language requirements?
All seminars, discussions, and small group exercises are conducted in English. All participants must be proficient in written and spoken English, but English Language tests are not required.
- How do I apply for a program?
Click on the Apply Now tab in the upper right of the screen on the program webpage, then read through the application instructions carefully and prepare all the required information before proceeding to the online application. Please note that “Save & Resume” feature is not available in the application portal. Therefore, you cannot come back at a later date/time to complete and submit the application, but you have to complete it from the beginning to the end at once. Once you press the Submit button, you will receive an application acknowledgement e-mail. All information given on applications will be treated as confidential. It will be used only for admission purposes and will not be provided to a third party.
- When is the application deadline?
The application deadline is 4 September 2020
- Is there an interview?
The admissions panel reviews all the applications and invites shortlisted candidates to an interview in September 2020. Applicant will not be admitted without attending the interview.
- When am I considered enrolled in a program?
You are enrolled in a program once you have applied, been accepted, and have paid in full on time. Only applicants listed as “admitted” on their admission status receive an e-mail notifying in September 2020.
Payments, Cancellations and Financial Aids
- What is included in the program fee?
The program fee includes tuition, program materials and a couple of receptions.
- When is payment due?
If admitted to the program, an admission letter will be sent electronically and will contain an invoice for the program fee. Full payment is due within 3 working days of the invoice date. Late payment will regard as declining of an offer of admission.
- What types of payment are accepted?
Payment can be made either by cheque or bank transfer. Detailed information regarding payment will be included with your invoice.
- What is your cancellation policy?
Owning to the high cost of pre-program preparation, full payment of the program fee is non-refundable.
